A Sapling from the Geopark
Kula-Salihli UNESCO Global Geopark personnel also planted saplings in the crowded group held in Kula's Hamidiye District and consisting of personnel of many non-governmental organizations and public institutions.
On the 11 November National Afforestation Day, celebrated in 2022 with the motto "Breathing for the Turkey Century", around 4 million saplings were planted across the country with the participation of 100 thousands of people of all ages in 1023 different locations in 81 provinces. The fact that there were traces of the Geopark in this important activity showed the importance of the Geopark for the future.
