Hoca Seyfeddin Bridge

Hoca Seyfettin Bridge is located 13 km north of Kula. It was built on a neck where the valley of the Gediz (Hermos) river is narrowed by basaltic lava coming from the Kula Divlit Cone. The bridge was designed and built by Hoca Seyfettin İbni El-Hac Saruhan between the 15th and 16th centuries. The bridge was 50 meters long and 4 meters wide and had 4 arches. Two of these four arches had to be closed during repairs.
