The first leg of the training, which will continue throughout the semester and will focus on the geopark, natural disasters and climate change in the schools within the geopark area, started at Salihli Türkbirliği Anatolian High School and Salihli Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Social Sciences High School. First of all, what is a Geopark? What is its importance? and Kula-Salihli UNESCO Global Geopark training was given. The geopark was introduced to the students through training seminars given to approximately 1,200 students in 2 days. Salihli Deputy Mayor Mahmut Süreyya Karaoğlu also attended the training seminar.
