Geopark Became an Educational Field for Young People

Kula-Salihli UNESCO Global Geopark hosted Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School and they learned about volcanic formations and the formation of Fairy Chimneys in this area. The convoy, consisting of approximately 50 students and teachers, was accompanied by Kula-Salihli UNESCO Global Geopark Director Yiğit Karakuzu and Tourism Officer Ali Karataş. The young people first climbed the Sandan Divlit Volcano Cone and then went to the Fairy Chimneys and had the opportunity to see the formations there.
